DECEMBER FIGHTS

After watching De La Hoya lose this weekend.. there’s a grip of UFC fights to look forward to this month.  This Wednesday free on Spike-TV is “Fight For The Troops” night.. then the Ultimate Fighter Finale is also free this Saturday!  And then… December 27th will be the last UFC event of 2008 and will be one of the best!  Forrest Griffin Vs. Rashad Evans, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Vs. Frank Mir, Wanderlei Silva Vs. Quinton Jackson + many more fights.  If you don’t know the stories behind these fights, you should!  Griffin and Evan’s are both from the Ultimate Fighter show.. Griffin is the Light Heavyweight champion and I hope he comes out with the win.. I’m pretty sure it will be an entertaining fight.  Nogueira and Mir (the current Ultimate Fighter coaches on the show), are two of the top fighters with the best ground game and are fighting for a Heavyweight shot.  Last month Lesnar beat Couture (the previous champion) who recently came back to the UFC.. so whoever wins between Nogueira and Mir will be fighting Lesnar.  At that point whoever wins is the new Heavyweight Champion.. Mir had beaten Lesnar earlier this year so that would be an interesting rematch, if he beats Nogueira!!  And I almost forgot Rampage Jackson will have a rematch against Wanderlei Silva, who he’s lost to twice before in Pride!  I’m sure my explanation was a bit unexciting but check out the videos and back stories to the fights at UFC.com
