Love for Innocence

Orson Welles

“I’m going to go on being faithful to my girl.  I love her.  I fell so much in love with making movies that the theatre lost everything from me.  I’m just in love with making movies.  I’m not very fond of movies, I don’t go to them much.  I think it’s very harmful to see movies for movie makers because you ‘ither imitate them or worry about not imitating them.  And you should do movies innocently the way adam named the animals the first day in the garden.”  -Orson Welles

  1. There’s a lot of truth in this. I’m a filmmaker, and when working on a project you tend to lose all interest in watching other films anyway because you get so consumed with your own. I’ve resorted to watching episodes of ‘Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares’ instead.
